Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

This Acceptable Use Policy outlines what is and isn’t allowed when using NexHost’s services. Use of our services means you agree to these terms. Violations may result in account suspension or termination without notice.
1. Illegal Use
You may not use our services for any purpose that violates local, national, or international laws. Prohibited uses include, but are not limited to:
- Hosting or distributing pirated software, movies, music, or games
- Fraud, identity theft, or phishing
- Distribution of child exploitation materials or content that promotes harm
- Engaging in or facilitating terrorism, violence, or criminal activity
2. Security and Network Abuse
You may not engage in activities that disrupt or compromise our infrastructure or others’ use of the internet. This includes:
- Port scanning or vulnerability testing without permission
- Denial of Service (DoS) or Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks
- Hosting or distributing malware, ransomware, spyware, or viruses
- Unauthorized access or hacking attempts
3. Spam and Unsolicited Messaging
Sending bulk emails or messages without proper consent is prohibited. You may not:
- Operate open mail relays or send unsolicited emails (spam)
- Use scripts to harvest emails or contact details
- Engage in any form of deceptive marketing or messaging
4. Resource Abuse
Our hosting environments are shared. You may not:
- Use your hosting plan primarily for file storage, archiving, or backups
- Mine cryptocurrency or run continuous high-resource processes
- Cause excessive CPU, memory, or disk usage that negatively impacts other users
We reserve the right to limit or suspend services if your usage causes disruption.
5. Content Restrictions
You may not publish, transmit, or store content that:
- Promotes hate, violence, racism, or discrimination
- Involves pornography involving minors or non-consensual acts
- Harasses, bullies, or defames individuals or groups
We reserve the right to determine what constitutes unacceptable content.
6. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your NexHost account, including:
- Using strong passwords and secure authentication
- Keeping your software (especially CMS platforms like WordPress) up to date
- Monitoring your account for unauthorized activity
7. Enforcement
If we detect violations of this policy, we may:
- Suspend or terminate your services immediately
- Restrict or remove offending content
- Report illegal activities to law enforcement agencies
